The Messy Places

The Messy Places

You've heard it said, some things are not what they seem.

While cleaning up at home this past weekend, I realized a very important truth.  The messiest places in the Rivera home are; number one, underneath the dining room table, and number two, the area surrounding the living room couch.  With three children, so much mess accumulates in those two locations, more than in any other place in my home.  Food remnants of all kinds, toys, there is never a shortage of mess under the table and inside, under and surrounding the living room couch.  It's frustrating that it matters not how much I tidy up, sweep or vacuum, these areas are a MAGNET for the MESS.

Funny thing how everything changes when we decide to change our MINDSET.

I thought to myself, what if these MESSY places I was so frustrated with were the scene of the crime for the MIRACULOUS?  Could it be all the table talk, the shared meals, the seen and unseen hard work, the late-night discussions on the couch, all those family movie nights were the MEETING place for the MIRACULOUS?  I was challenged to re-think the way I see MESSY places.  To rethink why it MATTERS how and why they became so MESSY.  What was the MOTIVATION behind the MESS?  I was challenged to remain grateful in the MUNDANE, and consider...

What if the MESSY places in our lives are the PERFECT places for a MIRACLE.

Sometimes things are not what they seem.
